Plant Protein vs Animal Protein: Which is Better? 

What's the difference between Plant and Animal Protein? And which one is better for you? Let's take a look at the benefits and downsides of each to help you make an informed choice.

Animal proteins and most plant proteins contain all essential amino acids, making them both high quality protein sources.

1. Protein Quality

Animal protein is less complicated to digest because of its structure. Plant proteins consists fibers and compounds that digest slowly but support gut health. 

2. Digestibility

Animal proteins like meat, eggs, dairy, etc comes with iron, B12, and omega-3s. Plant proteins like legumes, grains, etc have fiber, antioxidants, and vitamins like C and E in them. 

3. Nutrient Density

Plant proteins are more sustainable, requiring fewer sources to produce, making them a higher desire for the environment in contrast to animal farming.
