Protein is essential for the hair to grow and to stay healthy. If you notice that your follicles are deprived of the necessary protein intake, it could be the reason for hair thinning or noticeable hair loss.

Antibodies depend to a great extent on protein. Your body doesn’t have enough protein to help support immune function, so if you often get sick or recover slowly, that could be why.

Fluid retention is found especially in the legs, feet, and abdomen due to low protein levels, which cause the body to retain water. This happens when the body lacks enough protein to maintain proper fluid balance.

5. Swelling or Edema

Protein deficiency can cause dryness, rashes, or acne. A lack of protein damages the skin's structure and ability to heal itself.
