Why Choose Saunf This Summer?

2 tbsp fennel seeds (saunf), 2 tbsp mishri or jaggery, 1/2 tsp black salt, juice of 1 lemon, 2.5 cups chilled water and mint leaves for garnish.

Soak fennel seeds overnight or for at least 6 hours. This help release the essential oils and enhances cooling properties, exactly what your body needs in summer.

Blend the soaked saunf with mishri and water, and strain using a muslin cloth or sieve to get a smooth, greenish extract, this will prepare your sharbat base.
