Why is your protein shake so frothy? Here’s the real reason and some fixes.

High-speed shaking blends air into the shake. The foam is just trapped bubbles.

Whey isolates and hydrolysates tend to foam more readily due to their faster solubility and smaller particle size, which signifies their purity.

Overshaking or using a blender can trap more air. So mix it gently or stir with a spoon.

Water causes more froth than milk. Opt for almond milk or oat milk for a smoother shake.
