Fresh grated coconut, sugar, cardamom powder, ghee and milk, because having all the ingredients ready makes this easy coconut barfi recipe super smooth and quick to cook.

In a non-stick pan, mix grated coconut, sugar, and milk, then cook on medium flame, stirring continuously to make a thick, smooth mixture, which is the heart of this easy Indian sweets recipe.

Once it becomes thick, add some cardamom powder and a little ghee to increase the flavour and give your South Indian coconut barfi.
