Exercises to Get Rid of Neck Hump

Know some exercises to eliminate that pesky neck hump and improve your posture. Whether it's caused by long hours at the desk or poor habits, these exercises can make a significant difference. 

Introduction

Gently tilt your head to one side, bringing your ear towards your shoulder. Hold for 15-20 seconds. Repeat on the other side. 

1.  Neck Tilt Stretch

Slowly turn your head to one side, feeling a stretch in your neck. Hold for 15-20 seconds. Repeat on the other side. 

2. Neck Rotation

Sit or stand with your back straight. Squeeze your shoulder blades together. Hold for 10 seconds, then release. 

3.  Shoulder Blade Squeeze

Sit or stand with a straight spine. Gently tuck your chin towards your chest. Hold for 10-15 seconds. 

4. Chin Tucks

Slowly tilt your head from side to side. Feel the stretch on each side of your neck. Repeat for 1 minute. 

5. Side-to-Side Head Tilt

Stand tall with your feet shoulder-width apart. Clasp your hands behind your back and straighten your arms. Lift your arms slightly, opening your chest. 

6. Chest Opener Stretch

Gently tilt your head to one side, bringing your ear towards your shoulder. Place the hand on the same side behind your back. Hold for 15-20 seconds. Repeat on the other side. 

7. Upper Trapezius Stretch

Stand or sit with your back straight. Arch your back, bringing your shoulder blades together. Hold for 10 seconds. 

8. Back Extension

Regularly assess your posture throughout the day. Keep your spine aligned and shoulders relaxed.
