How to Identify the Purity of Shilajit?

Shilajit, a potent natural resin, is praised for its numerous health benefits. However, not all Shilajit products are pure. Here's how you can identify the purity of Shilajit to ensure you get the best quality.

Pure Shilajit has a rich, dark brown or blackish color. It should be shiny and sticky, with a resin-like texture. If the Shilajit is too light or grainy, it may not be authentic.

Pure Shilajit dissolves completely in warm water or milk, leaving no residue. If it doesn’t dissolve fully or leaves particles behind, it could be adulterated or low-quality.

2. Solubility Test

Pure Shilajit is highly flexible. It should become soft and sticky when warmed in your hand but hardens when cooled. If it remains brittle at all temperatures, it's likely not pure.

3. Pliability

Shilajit has a slightly bitter, earthy taste. It shouldn't have a chemical or overly sweet flavor. Unusual tastes could indicate additives or impurities.

Pure Shilajit has a distinct, earthy aroma. It should smell natural and not chemically processed. A strong, unpleasant odor may indicate low quality or adulteration.

When heated, pure Shilajit softens but doesn’t melt completely or burn. If your Shilajit burns or produces smoke, it may contain impurities or fillers.
