Powder or Gel? Let the Chia Showdown Begin!

Chia seeds have gained popularity nowadays. Every health-conscious person and those who aim to lose weight prefer chia seeds. But the confusion arises whether we should go for powder or gel.

Before that, you should know that chia seeds are really good for our health and also a good source of protein and fiber. They can be consumed in two forms: chia seeds gel and chia seeds powder.

Both offer benefits and are good for us! But the question is in which form should we consume them? Let's check out the differences, and you can add them to your diet according to your goals.

It is made from whole chia seeds. When soaked in water for at least 30 minutes, the seeds absorb the water and form a jelly coating. 

Chia Gel

It is formed by grinding chia seeds. It can be added to oatmeal, fruit toppings, etc.  

Chia Powder

Chia seeds are considered good for weight loss as they give the feeling of satiety and reduce hunger cravings, which could help you stop overeating.

Chia gel is high in fiber and helps with hydration, which could help with smoother digestion. Chia powder is also rich in fiber but lacks hydration.  

Digestive Health

Chia gel is bulky, which helps you feel full for a longer period of time, whereas chia powder lacks this.  

Satiety

Chia gel is formed by water, which clearly indicates that it has absorbed a good amount of water, whereas chia powder does not have a water content.

Both chia gel and powder are good for you. Chia seeds are best for weight management, while chia powder can be easily added to various meals like oatmeal, yoghurt, etc. You can have both according to your preference, add them to your diet and enjoy the benefits.
