Types of Workouts for Muscle Building

Building muscle takes the right workouts to maximize gains. So, let’s explore different exercises to build and strengthen our muscles properly.

Compound moves involve squatting, deadlifting, and bench pressing movements that work for multiple muscle groups at a time. They are great for building overall strength and muscle mass.  

1. Compound Exercises

Isolation exercises, such as bicep curls, tricep dips, and leg curls, target specific muscles. The best use of these exercises is to target weak spots and achieve lean definition.

No equipment? No problem! Pull-ups, push-ups, and planks use your body weight for resistance, helping you build muscle and core strength.  

3. Bodyweight Workouts

Doing more sets and reps for a muscle pump that promotes growth. This method helps muscle endurance and makes muscles fuller and stronger.  

4. High-Volume Training

You lower the weight and keep lifting after you have failed. Drop sets aim to maximise hypertrophy; these muscle busters push muscles to their furthest limits.  

5. Drop Sets

Do two exercises in order, with no rest between them. It is more intense, burns more calories and builds more muscle at the same time as saving time.  

6. Supersets

Mixing in other workout types means always challenging your muscles and keeping them growing. To hit those muscle-building goals, keep them consistent and vary them!
