Making Greek yogurt at home is simple and fun, as you can control the taste, thickness and freshness.

Start by cleaning all the bowls, spoons and pots properly so that no bad bacteria spoil your yogurt.

Now, heat some milk till it becomes hot but not boiling, as this helps kill germs and makes yogurt smooth.

Let the milk cool down till it feels warm to the touch, which helps the yogurt culture grow properly.

Mix a few spoons of plain yogurt with live cultures into the warm milk, which starts the fermentation process.

Cover the mixture and keep it in a warm place for around 6-10 hours so that it becomes thick and creamy.

Once the yogurt is set, keep it in the fridge so that it cools down and gets a better texture.

Use a clean cloth or strainer to remove extra water (whey) from the yogurt, which makes it thick like Greek yogurt.

Keep a small portion of this yogurt aside, as it can be used as the starter for your next batch.
